Not with PICs, there's an amateur radio comm. (AX25) that uses the
PC and some cheap components on the serial port (in 1200 baud): RX
via lm741 and a simple R-C network for TX. The R-C network transform
the ±12V square into a small sine for the transceiver. The frecuency
are into 1KHz and 2.5KHz (it's BELL 102).
There're some code in the piclist about that, 1200 baud modem, to
do with a pic. But I thinks that this is not for you, you need a
laarge sweep.
